Personal Words

The lyrics I chose for this project are One in A Million by Aaliyah.

Baby you don't know What you do to me between me and you I feel a chemistry. I won't let no one come and take your place Cause the love you give it can't be replaced. see No one else loves me like you do That's why I don't mind to Spend my life with you I Wanna please you in any way I can I Wanna share my world and don't you understand. Your love is a one in a million It goes on and on and on. You give me a really good feelin' all day long your love is one in a million It goes on and on and on You give me a really good feelin' all day long .

The reason I chose these lyrics speak about love that is irreplaceable. I relate to this song because I feel that love today. It’s a girl expressing her love to her man and how she is ready to take that next step. The lyrics include so much imagery that is not like a plain love song its could be called and love of desire. Another reason I chose these lyrics is because Aaliyah is my favorite singer and when she sang the song the lyrics had so much power in it. This song has helped me in my relationship.

Social Issue: Dream as if you will LIVE FOREVER!!!

In this photograph, there are three young men. Each man is glaring and focusing in different angle of directions. As they look there are all holding cellular phones and have different expressions on their faces. The men have different shades of skin and the color of their shirts corresponds with their skin tone.

In this photograph the social issue I am trying to get across is at many times in our lives we forget to hold on to want we want. We always give up and feel that we have done all we can do and that’s not true. We allow other people to control our Dreams and destinations. In my life I had given up on so much. I thought that I would never be able to be a great writer. I was put down and I started believe what others said about me. Now, I have learned to Dream as if I WILL LIVE FOREVER because dreams have made thing possible for us today. And it is not my peers, society or even the President to tell me when and who I can be. Just hold fast to dreams for Your dream cannot die!!!!

SCARY EFFECTS

My favorite was the vampire because it brought out the real vampire in me plus I felt like that could be my character on TRUE BLOOD. I learned about the pin tool also you to make stroke paths or paths. Some troubles I ran into were when we were making our eyes white because my eyes were red that day i had less white around my pupal. I think I did well on the burn and dodge tool and my yellow eyes in my vampire photo. I believe that jobs such as the animators to scary movies and vampire Television shows use this to create their characters and also to show the actors what they look like.

Formal Critique

As the bridge he builds leads up to a man with no choice but to build his way to land and forget or ignore the constant waves of disappointment, waiting for him to fail, bodies of water that surrounds him. His world is so gray all he can see ahead for the near future is a big black hill of hopes and dreams. But by the looks of his short supply of wood to continue building he will be left alone for the unwelcoming water to swallow all he has worked for. This is a change he never thought of

The bridge of change he built leads us to him. The gray of the photograph helps to create this lost faith but trying to find hope feeling. It makes me feel as if he is all alone and lost at sea he just began to build his way to the hill of hope. Although he seems to have come along way he will be stopped soon because of his short supply. This photography brilliantly portrays the hope of someone even when they try to reach a goal but hard times stop them. It clearly interprets our personal battle with unplanned circumstances.

Photographic Effects

My favorite of all the trick we have learned is Blow-out. I love it because it hides all the blemishes and bring out the beauty of the subject in the photo. I would like to work with Fix: Healing tools a little bit more it was kind of difficult for me to work with. The Cropping Tool is what I learned more about and it was cool to cut things out that I didn't want.

PORTRAITS

The Portrait I think I was most successful with has to be The PROP. To me I really captured her moment of dance. To create an artistic photo I used greens because it matches her eye color. It gave a playful mood. The PROP I used was dancing. I loved the way the photo turned out because the extreme angle trick emphasized the dancing movement she was doing. I did not like the turnout of my surprise photo I just quickly took it and didn't care how it turned out. I was really afraid to take these pictures it seem like all my ideas were not coming together in the beginning but after letting go and focusing on capturing my clients senior moment I connected with my artistic side.

Contact Sheet

Out of all the Compositional trick we have learned my favorite Light. This is because it brings out a mood that a picture in color or without it takes away. In my Day to day photos I will start using Fill-In-Flash, Light, and Rule of Thirds. It will help me take more artistic photos and snap shots. Fill-In-Flash the most difficult because in class we learned flash was bad and i was afraid to take another bad picture. My favorite pictures were rule-of thirds and light because to me they brought out the beauty and feeling more in the pictures.

Compositional Trick #8 Fill in flash

(no flash)

(Flash)

(flash)

(no flash)
Fill in Flash help my picture by lighting up my objects face will she was in a light back ground and also when the second girl has a line across her face. In the future I will only use flash to lighten up a photo but only if it helps.

Compositional Trick #7 Drawing with Light

To me and many others this picture brings out the beauty in the emphasis. It can express feeling that color distract us from. The feeling I get when looking at this picture is "My past was dark but my future holds Light". The light helps this because the light shines on her face and the black tries to hide some of her body.

Compositional Trick #6 Framing

Framing helps to show you what your main focus of the picture is. It helps the compostion to say "hey you look here", and "then look around more". for my pictures I believe I could have used better frames and positions for my emphasis.

Compositional Trick #5 Extreme angles

Extreme Bird: Bad example

Extreme Ant: AWESOME EXAMPLE.
Extreme Angles is an awesome trick to use. it makes the picture more dramatic and shows you the world in a new way. My first picture is a bad example because that how we normally look at a field from above. The second one is awesome it shows the trees beautiful angles and it shows how a ant would look at this tree.

Compositional Trick #4 Simplicity

Simplicity is when distractions away so that we can appreciate the photograph that has been taken. Your eyes will immediately attract to the emphasis. Simplicity does not mean boring. it means that you focus on the subject more and take away from the background action. This is a trick to use when taking a picture. it will bring out your subject more and elimmate the rest of whats going on.

Compositional Trick #3 Macro

Macro is used to give you a closer look at things. It blurs the background and gives you a better focus on your emphasis. Macro show you the world in a different way than we are used to.

Compositional Trick #2 Leading Lines

Leading lines is a line or lines that lead you to your emphasis. Leading lines visually leads you through the picture.

Compositional Trick #1 Rule of Thirds

Rule of Thirds picture is a picture not focused on the center, it is slightly moved from the center. Think of it as a tic-tac-toe, put your subject on the intersections.
